Boat Wars A&S
Poster: Nancy Davis <nancyad@mindspring.com>
Greetings to all assembled in the tavern!
This is a reminder about the A&S activities at Boat Wars, May 14-16 in
Windmasters' Hill.
There will be two classes. Lady Genevieve d'Evreux will teach knotwork for
scribes. Lady Dervila will teach us about Viking Mythology.
Competitions include Viking ornaments (such as beads, brooches,
tablet-weaving, carvings of wood, bone or stone), knotwork in any medium,
and the Best Dressed Viking and Celt. There will also be an on-site poetry
competition with a word list provided. (I'm still looking for a couple more
judges. Early period experts appreciated.)
Evening entertainment will include dancing and a bardic circle.
A reminder that the Reservation taker has moved. The address in the Acorn
does work, but the new one may be faster. It is Erika Robbins, 6210 Karyn's
Rd, Efland, NC 27243. Call 919-304-6074.
In service,
Ysolt
