individual within the following conditions:

A Scientist to join a multidisciplinary team focused on the 
discovery of central and peripheral targets involved in 
obesity, appetite control, and wasting disorders; and in the 
discovery of small molecular weight compounds that can 
be used to modulate these conditions in humans. The 
qualified scientist will be responsible for designing and 
implementing animal studies to test compounds and 
explore principles for treatment of human obesity and 
wasting disorders. The qualified candidate should possess a 
Ph.D. with at least 6 years of proven expertise in animal 
studies in the physiology and behavior of appetite and 
satiety. Experience in techniques used to measure rodent 
food and water intake, locomoter activity, and skilled in 
intracerebroventricular and intrahypothalmic injections. 
Expertise in various central-mediated effects in animal 
models such as anxiety, depression, and affective disorders 
would be a plus. Our client is a leading pharmaceutical 
company with research facilities in Connecticut and can
