Almost certainly yes.  The relationship between he and his wife (the 
SheWolf) makes for some really interesting reading, as does the antics of 
his "buddy" (What was his name?  Gerard?).  Edward eventually ended up 
upsetting several of his Barons by his behavior - they kidnapped 
him, locked him in a tower and.....wait this is a family list.  The way 
he died was rather gruesome.  Suffice it to say that he was done to death.
