Looks like a sock to me.

Seems to me that Leifr is trying to get a leg up on the competition in order
to be a shoe in for the prize.  I just hope that all entrants remember that
this is in the spirit of good fun and entertainment, and don't become too
callus...they may have to get booted from the competition.
