wool (and other) care
I have had great success with a product called "Nature's Miracle", which I
learned about from Lady Bleiddianyn and Sir Grethfyrth. It is a clear liquid
(no staining problems) that contains an enzyme that organically breaks down
the urine. No more urine, no more smell. Saturate the fabric affected, and
let it sit for about a week or two (nature takes time......) Hand wash (or
gentle machine cycle wash) the wool afterwards, and hang dry on a railing.
Benefit of this is the garment you make from the fabric will also be able to
be washed as well.....
Don't tumble dry or over-agitate the wool, as it will then felt.....
This product can also be used on carpeting....Only trick is to make sure you
use enough to saturate the carpet padding, too.
The company also makes a special lamp that will help you spot exactly where
the "disaster" happened on a carpet.
Hope this helps.
