Disagreement isn't automatically a public slight. The manner in which
one disagrees, or even agrees, can be a public slight. Personally, one
thing that I do do around royalty is to disagre with them only with my
most careful speech, because I find that treating royalty that way is
fun. It's not really a matter of courtesy, which should be extended to
all.
