Greetings again from Sir Xenophon (I'm feeling kinda' verbose today)

In the event that any of the fine patrons are themselves or know of
anyone looking for something to do on the Fourth of July, our fair Barony
of Lochmere is holding a demo on Fort Meade in Maryland.  This in an
annual thing, where the local community is very anxious to come out and
see what we do.  We have a good time, and do everything from fighting
(heavy and rapier) and displaying A&S items, to playing croquet and
Bocce.  Since this is primarily an information demo (with recruitment
opportunities available) we really try to put on a good show.

We will be setting up on the Main Parade field on Mapes Road (the exact
location will be easy to see once you actually travel down Mapes since
the base is putting on its carnival in the adjoining parking lot to the area
we will be occupying). 

To get to Mapes Road simply take the B/W Parkway, or I-95 north
towards Baltimore until you get to Route 32.  Go East on Route 32.
Just past the intersection of 32 and 198 their will be a left hand turn lane
with a light, this is Mapes Road and enters the base.  Go a mile or so on
Mapes and you will see the festivities on the right (you will pass the golf
course on the left---fyi).  This area is all well marked and there will be
signs.

We will be setting up around 0830, but anyone is welcome at anytime
throghout the day.  I believe the base begins launching fireworks around
2100.
