Also, for the record, I have never been treated rudely by any Laurel, from 
any Kingdom, upon walking up to them and asking a question. I have heard 
horror stories though. They were always with nameless Laurels and I 
therefore gave them little credence, if any.

However, I do understand the tendency of a person not asking a question 
because they are afraid they would be interrupting something important. I 
also understand someone really hoping that a Laurel will offer advise on 
their work or their documentation but being reluctant to ask them to do it. 
Like I said, it doesn't matter if the reason people don't ask questions is 
wrong....they still don't ask the question and therefore don't get the 
answer. Somehow, being in an environment where someone is just talking 
about something they love and inviting questions, can make all the 
difference.
