Caveat emptor:

There is also a book entitled "Tirant lo Blanc" which is a summary and 
literary/historical criticism of the book (and IMHO is neither terribly 
complete nor terribly good) ... be SURE that it is the real thing and not 
this cursory survey of the plot.

Either translation is good -- I've read both of them -- I just happen to 
prefer the earlier-one-that-was-published-second, as opposed to the 
second-one-that-was-published-first.  I own the earlier-one, but checked 
the second-one out of the library on interlibrary loan.

(Look, Alfredo, we're drumming up interest!  Maybe we *can* put together 
an All-Tirant Event after all!)  ;)
