  Not your imagination.  This all started with someone's post which could
be summed up as 'if you want someone offed, let us know'.  As I recall, it
said about being something done at an SCA event (though you could assume
that by it being on a SCA list) nor did it mention being a fund-raiser.  It
was to this that the original complaints refered to.  Rightly to my mind.

  It was my thought at the time, that they were trying to start up an 
assassin's guild.  Later, this was clarified to it's true intent.  If the 
original post had included this information, we might not be having this flap.  
Instead, the discussion has devolved done to censoring people's event ideas.  
This was never the intent of the original complaints.
