Just to jump in on this sole point alone...  Corun, your reasoning was called
foolish, but you weren't.  I have many times had foolish reasoning without
being fool.  In discussions (and even arguments, not that there's one anywhere
near here! ;-)), it is quite reasonable to refer to foolish reasoning or
reasons.  It's not (or at least shouldn't be!) meant personally.  Assault on
reasoning is perfectly fair game.  It's not a personal attack.
