Unto the Patrons of the Merry Rose does Eldred send greetings and
     condolences.

     Words fail me.  What I can say about Syr Kane has been already
been expressed by others more eloquent than I, and anything I would say
would be a poor reflection of my grief.  I will miss his grace, courtesy, 
and
good-natured mischief.
