It seems to me that much of our actual experience with homage, fealty,
alliances, and other relationships within the SCA can be categorized thus:
"The SCA is a game, but the relationships are real."

There is no counterpart in our modern lives to the relationships we develop
here - knight to squire, knights to each other, laurel to apprentice,
King/Queen to Kingdom, etc, etc.
That is what makes the SCA wonderful.
