It seems that most of us strive for a reasonably authentic look between the
ankles and the neck.  The people who go to the effort of wearing appropriate
footgear and appropriate headgear are in a minority, but should be commended.
  
Appropriate headgear would include everything:  headdresses/hats (including
crowns/coronets), hairdressing, shaving or lack thereof of facial fuzz,
cosmetics, corrective lenses,  avoidance of public tobacco smoking (except
perhaps Elizabethans with pipes), the list goes on...
