My immediate response was that they would manifest themselves by not
manifesting themselves, so to speak - the ones who disappear instantly at
the mention of "help," "assistance," or other such words.  (Motto: Work is a
four-letter word.)

Lady Philippa, on the other hand, suggests that these would be the lot who
stand about complaining about what a bad job you are making of
whatever-it-is, without offering any sort of helpful advice or muscle power.
