Have you ever tried a drink of Valarian? It is an herb used in period as a
pain killer or nerve tonic. It's Greek name is PHU-- basically Stinky Drinky!
The latin name Valarian comes from the idea that only a valarous man can
drink it. It is good for severe head aches, nerves, other pain stuff, and as
far as I've found is kind of harmless. 

As a side note, some cats find valarian a kitty version of cocaine. If you
think catnip is funny, watch them bounce off of walls with THIS stuff!!!
