>From the Clerk of the Polling Lists

In the interests of reducing the great expense being 
borne by the Crown and its Heirs, who are currently 
sending out 500 envelopes for each full polling, with
their associated charges for printing and postage,
Their Royal Highnesses will begin offering the option
of receiving the orders' pollings electronically
instead of on paper.

If you would like to receive your polls (and optionally,
return them) electronically, please notify the Shepherd's
Crook Herald, who keeps the polling address database.

compelled to make the change, but those who would like 
the new option may take advantage of it beginning with 
Their Highnesses' second poll.

Also, there will probably be a purge of nonresponding
addresses from the polling database sometime in 1997.  
If you have not responded to a poll within the last 
year, and don't write to ask to be kept on the mailing 
list, you MAY stop receiving written polls sometime this 
year.  No one with a valid East Kingdom address who 
answers their polls will be removed involuntarily.
