Kari, I assume this means you don't plan to come back to Falcon Cree....
Just a couple of pieces of advice. Start with a College unless there
are a lot of people(non-college students) near you. If you start a Canton
or Shire, you will need a long-term stable population. As much fun as
college students have in the SCA, they are a transient population.
If you have a high turnover, stick with being a College first.
If you are going to start a Canton, choose which barony you will be in.
I'm not sure which ones Dillon and Laurinburg fall in. Although you
will get some of your neighbors playing as part of your local
group, they will not count as part of your population when you determine
which zip codes to include as your Canton. Only one barony can hold
the Canton, and it is unlikely you will get agreement from one side
or the other to allow their zip codes to go to another barony.
Get a copy of Corpora to get the facts on what you need to start a
new branch, get a zip code listing of Atlantia from Milpitas, and
get a map of your area that shows zip codes. Then get with the
senechals of the cantons and baronies that surround your area.
