Period Rabbits

Hi, does anyone have any info----not recipes though---on rabbits in the
Middle Ages and Renn.?  I have a bit on them as pets to nuns and pictured as
house pets on the cover of "Italian Renn. Interiors", but need more for a
paper I'm working on.  Thanks,
