I hope you aren't implying that the Kingdom Chronicler isn't quite
efficient at handling the calendar -- when we scheduled our last
event, he answered us promptly. In the example case we're discussing,
the two autocrats were aware of the conflict and talked to each other
before they made the final decision to conflict. I don't see any
breakdown of communication at work here. The one thing which could be
added would be more combining of events, which is something that will
be admirably addressed by Corun's seneschal's meeting.

Groups could also be more prompt at turning in their event forms; a
while back Isenfir scheduled an event, only to find out that one of
our neighboring groups had paid a deposit for a site 6+ months earlier
and hadn't bothered to put the event onto the calendar. Having a
deputy chronicler wouldn't help that situation either.
