Any of the Heralds want to take a shot (not at *me*)? Heeheehee.
A fess is a wide band that crosses a shield horizontally. If it's couped,
that means it doesn't go all the way to the edges of the shield and is
closed at the ends, making a horizontal rectangle on the shield. Now, if
your name is written across this big rectangle.....in all capital letters.....
