For those who did not know him, Sir Ishmael fought in a truly period
fashion -- without benefit of anything so shockingly modern as spectacles
or contact lenses.  Feints and subtle deceptions were useless against Sir
Ish, as all fighters were the same indistinct blur to him.  How did he
fight?  Well, his squires, Lord Karl and Lord Ian would point him in the
right direction and yell "Ish, hit that one."

Wasn't Sir Rand also about at this time?
