Corun, generally, nice post.
  In the end we've all learned something. One, that the paperwork we do,
  though noisesome, is for a good reason. Two, that Landi needs to think
  before he posts (or at least use some smilies now and then ;-) and consider
  his words more carefully. And three, that no one wants to hear another
  blessed thing about the TI editor's brats.

I'm not so sure about the paperwork.... but that's another story.  And,
since I happen to know Meredydd, I kinda like to hear about Owen stories.
But, I admit, I get enough of them off the Calontir list.  (But of all the
sins in the world, an over-loving mother is a small one.  And given the size
of the burden that is TI, and how late it was when her tenure started, I
won't demand perfection.   I'm happy to let her use 3 paragraphs on stories
about her children.)

But another thought, not aimed directly at you, Corun.  In general, if you
want to correct someone's style, you shouldn't criticize them in public on
the dance floor, but privately off the floor.  In this case, in email.  Not
just for embarassment reasons: but because it works better, generally.
