Re: Heraldry Book (Neubecker)

HERALDRY SOURCES, SYMBOLS, AND MEANING by Ottfried Neubecker is indeed a
valuable heraldic resouce. One of its most endearing qualities is the lively
and entertaining style of writing. Another nice feature is that it talks of
modern uses of heralddry.

Be advised, though, that it was originally written in German, and as such, it
has a Continental emphasis. It also uses terms like Margrave, which puzzled
me for some time! It's a good counterpoint to the British-oriented books that
seem to make up the majority of most private heraldic libraries.

I recommend it!
