Re: On Pennsic....

Being a reporter and staff member of the War Chronicle this year, I would say
that many wonderful stories and people telling them came our way....there were
many fabulous things that happened that we could not print due to lack of
space, or pure information (we cannot write he says's or she say's without
proof you know!).

One such story comes to mind.....someone was apparently walking with her heavy
load and a bad leg. Apparently someone was watching from their merchants
booth and two young boys swept up out of nowhere grabbed her things and asked
her where she was going, where did she want them and did she want them put
somewhere specific....well, according to the merchant, one boy exclaimed that
he knew where the campsite was and off they ran leaving the lady speechless
and without her burdens just kinda' standing there with this blank look on her
face....

We received many such stories, thus renewing hope that chivalry is indeed not
dead and still alive out there somewhere.

Another good thing - for those who did not go or simply did not read the War
Chronicle (Shame shame shame) was the Atlantian's Children's Party - I never
saw such a happier group of children in a long time at War...(due to the
heavily and rudely imposed "anti-child" attitude this year)....Duchess Arielle
and staff did a fabu' job.

If Raba is reading this - can people order a full subscription by checking
with the staff at The Pale????? This way they can read what happened as well
as look at great pics and cartoons????

Oh well, back to work and the ever elusive "now where did that item I bought
for so and so get packed???"
