Middle was Intense this year

Greetings and Howdy-doo!

I thought the Middle presented a real threat this year, unlike no other.

I don't believe my perception is colored by the numbers when I say
that. The fact we were outnumbered does not account for the increase in
zeal. This made the war more interesting for me, as far as the battles
went.

We lost battles this year that we have never lost(Atlantia won our
objective everytime, including the first field battle when we killed
many per Atlantian soldier, then became a welcome mat for the Middle's
attack on the East.), like the field battle.

All of this meant that we had to work harder, listen to our commanders
more, but most of all, trust that our Atlantian brothers would do their
jobs while we focused on ours. This war, there was no time to be timid
or avoid risk. You had to jump into the thick, as opportunism was not
an option. Atlantia sucked it up and did all of these, including
trusting our allies in a big way. For the first time in a while, we had
to face real adversity.

This was the worst thing that could happen to all that would oppose us.
There is a redeemed sense of urgency in our dedication to our goals,
there are full units renewed with the desire to excel, and there is a
new fire in each of the warriors on that field. We had forgotten the
nasty taste of defeat, honorable or not, and remembered how bad it
sucks, even if you made your objective.

In the end, we remembered the sweet taste of victory, after restless
toil and hard work. Hmmmmmmm. I just love the smell of carnage in the
morning.

P.S. My favorite war cry this year was "CRUSH THEIR SOULS!!"
