Baronial Investiture at Fall Hunt 

October 24-26th 

Come all gentles of noble birth and witness the Investiture of Lord 
Aedan Aylwyn as the sixth Baron of Caer Mear, at this Fall Hunt.Royal 
Court, and the Last Court of Their Excellances Werhener & Lecelin shall 
begin at 11:00 am on Saturday, with the Investiture Ceremony to follow.
 
Fall Hunt: (for armoured combat)Hunt the elusive beasts of the woods! As 
in years past, hunting parties shall be comprised of a hunter (carrying 
short spear) and two mastiffs (any weapons form).Combat archers are 
encouraged to attend as well.Our day shall begin with authorizations 
directly following Investiture.

To celebrate the glory of the day the theme of our event shall be the 
Barony of Caer Mear, it's history, and people.
A&S: Baronial Scrolls/ Promisories: Create a scroll for either the 
Pharos (service), Briese de Mer (A&S),  U.F.O. (unnamed fighting 
order)or the Baron's Award.(For text please contact Lady Susanna Grey at

The Hunt: A additional competition shall be held for items for the Hunt 
(clothing, armour, leatherworking, etc.)
Trivia Contest: Test your knowledge of the Barony's history.

A hearty Feast of the year's harvest, full of the bounty of the Hunt 
shall be prepared once again by House Griffoud,(please address all 
dietary concerns to the Cook, Lord Keelan MacRaith[Dave 
Turner;804-730-6735;wonko@i3va.com] ).Please 
reserve early as our hall is limited to
110. There is no off-board space available in the hall; however, 
personal grills are allowed, and maps to
local eateries will be provided. 

After the feast prepare yourself for Byton Tremayne's Third Annual Blow 
the Horn party,and bardic circle.(The site is discreetly wet.) 

Costs: $12.00- on-board, camping; $10.00- on-board only; $7.00 - 
off-board, camping only; $5.00
day-trip (off-board, off-site). Children are half price, and no parent 
shall pay for no more than two

Our Site, Pocohantas State Park in Chesterfield, VA has cabin camping 
only. The site opens at 4:00
PM on Friday the 24th and closes at 12:00 noon, Sunday the 26th. 

Also, the Barony is doing a Demo at the Richmond Scottish Games Festival 
on Saturday and Sunday with camps from the time of the Vikings, Robert 
the Bruce, and the Tudors. SCA members who regester earily may recieve 
free admission to the festival.Contact Lady Magdelana d' Hazelbrouk

Directions to Fall Hunt: 

Take your best route to I-95, south of Richmond. Take Exit 62 (288 
North). Travel approximately 6
miles to the Rt. 10/ Ironbridge Road/Chesterfield East exit. Travel 1.5 
miles to the second stop light.
Turn right onto Beach Road. Travel 4 miles to the park entrance on the 
right. Follow S.C.A. signs to
the Algonquian Ecology Camp. Troll is located in the small building next 
to the parking lot.
