Re: A question about consecration/deconsecration

I would only assume that if a church held this as an icon or something
having some sort of religious purpose/importance, better care would have
been taken of it.  Relish your find, enjoy it, and don't worry about it.
My guess would be that it probably was not an important religious item and
therefore was never "consecrated".
