consecreted vessels

I would feel very uncomfortable using consecreted vessels for something
other than their original use.  When the Babylonians
sacked Jerusalem, they took holy objects (vessels and other items) from
the Temple and used them for everyday purposes.  This has been seen as A
Bad Thing.
Granted, your item is probably not something that was stolen but still,
the idea doesn't seem Kosher.  (Don't mind the pun).
