   The problem is that there are enough of us who, believe it or not, have
children, work with children, play with children AND who use "smalls" as a
slang/euphenism for undies often enough that undies are what we think of
first - and blushing for unexplained reasons infront of the children is, or
can be, dangerous. I find "smalls" as a substitute word for children
slightly offensive, as it can be belittling to our younger set. I don't use
"have a merry and gay time" anymore, for a different reason, just as I
don't (donning asbestos outerwear) use the word "Witch" around anyone I
don't know well.
