I wonder why? The reminder of what SCA requirements are seems to serve a
good purpose in reminding people that this is an SCA event not some other
kind of party. Certainly the establishment of a court isn't offensive. It
at least seems to conform to the minimal concept of "due process" instead
of possible arbitrary and capricious judgement.

In fact, my only fault with it is that it says "Any alleged criminal
activity on site would be met with an automatic eviction from site."
Depending on how one views alleged, this could mean individuals with
grudges could conceivably get others tossed off site by stating that their
chosen victim committed some sort of crime on site. What I would hope
would happen, but is not stated at all, is that modern authorities (eg, the
police) would be called and handle the matter. Then any eviction could be
based upon the police's report of the alleged criminal activity, assuming
cooperation between the Middle Seneschal and the police. Thus, the SCA
does not open itself up as an investigator/arbitrator of modern law matters
(and thus potential legal actions), and the modern authorities handle
troublemakers who are breaking not SCA but modern law.
