RE: Pennsic Seneschale's Court and Requirements This Year

Poster: Nicole Smithers <ladyemma@mindspring.com>

My problem isn't the elf ears, the fangs or anything else. I have a very
period
method for handling that... I advocate burning at the stake.
However, I would like to speak a moment about the continual trend toward a
modern system of control. I am, at heart, a monarchist. I believe in the
divine right of Kings. Due process isn't part of that right if the Kings
says so is. If you have a problem with an individual there are ways set up
with in our current system to solve that problem. If you are going to
have a court, have a COURT. Let the Kings of the East, Middle and
Aethelmearc make decisions.
Let the monarchs be monarchs for 6 months. We might get some bad kings,
but only for 6 months.

The Phoenicians were not great philosophers... they pondered the simpler
questions, like "If I stick this spear in you, can I take your stuff?",
"Do you have relatives that would be mad if I took your stuff?", and
"Can my relatives beat up your relatives?"
