Event Reports
Poster: L Wayne Precht <wayne@apollo.umuc.edu>
Greetings from Duke Galmr Ingolfsson, Earl Marshal of Atlantia!
This the first of the begging letters. I need event reports! Without them, I
have no way of tracking problems and ensuring rules compliance, among other
things. Event reports are now even easier to file since you can fill out the
form on line at http://shipwrecked.umuc.edu/Marshal/Pages.nsf. I also still
accept paper reports and email reports, if you don't have web access.
I have yet to receive the reports for the following events:
Tourney & Trickery Bright Hills
Marlboro Wars Lochmere
A Knight at the Races Border Vale Keep
Pilgrim's Progress II Tir-y-Don
Mid-Winter's Tale Border Vale Keep
Kingdom 12th Night Sacred Stone
Section 29.I of the Earl Marshal's Policies states:
"The Marshal in Charge must file an event report within 10 days of the event."
Further, Sections 26.D & 26.E state:
"D.Knight marshals shall ensure that the marshal in charge of events hosted by
their group files an event report.
E.Knight marshals will be removed if an event report is not filed for events
hosted by their group."
It is difficult to overstate the importance of timely reporting of fighting
activities. But, I am not going to be spending the next 2 years whining about
reports. The first group of Knight Marshals will be removed at Unevent if the
event reports listed above have not been received by then.
If you were the MIC, file the report. If you are the KM, stand on the MIC if
you want to stay in your position. If you are a member of a group that has
not filed, talk to the marshals. Groups without marshals could be in danger
unless they also have an MOAS.
