I would recommend you say, "I am called Bro'ccan ap Dafydd."  This more or
less implies that it may change.  No need to use your modern name.  Names do
change.  If your name isn't approved and you take another, you might say, "I
am Bran ap Daffyd, formerly called Bro'ccan"
