However there is a difference between:

a) A quick snap that 'twacks' the armor ...

b) A blow of decent force, that the other person can 'feel AWFULLY well',
and had that person been wearing chain, and had the weapon been real, would
have left them 'disinclined to continue to fight'.

c) A blow of high force, that hurts through plate armor and foam padding,
and had that person been wearing chain, and had the weapon been real, would
have sliced them into two pieces (figuratively).


By the SCA combat rules, and by the rule of: 'Be nice, Have fun', I think
that most people in this conversation are in agreement that we should be
aiming for (b) ...

The discussion that started was the claim that Atlantia is at (c), where
other groups were at (b).
