This thread brings to mind a humorous 
incident back in Artemisia...

There was a young gentleman who was at 
Harvest Court.  (It was one of his first 
events, so i really can't fault him too 
much.)  This young gentleman became hungry, 
and, since there was no feast, we had 
brought along munchies and sodas.  The more 
experienced SCAdians in our little group 
had intended to eat and drink off of our 
feast gear....  but we kinda forgot to tell 
him this.

Our friend wound up wandering about taking 
a look at things and relaxing.  He had a 
2-liter bottle of Mountain Dew and a big ol' 
bag of Doritos, both of which clashed quite 
jarringly against his garb.  As he walked, 
he chanced to meet a gentle in a pointy hat.

Much to his credit, our friend offered His 
Majesty some chips and a drink...
