Leap Years and Ponte Alto

It doesn't really matter whether 2000 is a leap year or not, since the
general consensus is that the world will end that year, probably before
February.

Leaving the Christian, new age, and natural disaster prophets aside,
everyone knows that there are still *LOTS* of old programs that use two
digits for years, many on old mainframes such as those in your bank and
NORAD.  The financial crisis will hit 1 January 2000, and I fully expect
Western Civilization to have collapsed by February.

I hope that thought takes some of the pressure off Ponte Alto.
