RE: Futility of War with HayYoo
Greetings from Ellwood!
Scripsit Henry:
%Countess Ianthe suggests the possibility that anyone might
%retaliate in kind for her tendency to bring focus to arbitrary
%points of male anatomy.
%Your Excellency,
% I cannot imagine embarking upon a more foolhardy venture.
%I am well aware of how you laid low the mighty Gyrth with only a
%trace assertion of your power, when he was quixotic enough to
%attempt to come to my aid at the Isenfir University session.
That does seem to be the course of a lack-wit. Having attended
a college in which I was outnumbered 30-to-1, I *know* that even
without tempting fate, that no man may prevail 'gainst a woman's
scorn. For some reason, some of them felt it necessary to tell
me that I was very brave to listen and not say a word. T'wasn't
(is that even a word??) bravery, it was a very good sense of
self-preservation. Pay heed to Henry's words and to those of
one who "has been there; done that."
% I cravenly apologize for even hinting that any action or
%philosophic tendency of yours was anything other than the actions
%appropriate to a Lady of the very highest water. I beg your
%charitable indulgence for my ill-advised slip of the tongue.
%Surely some madness must have possessed me: I read my earlier
%note and it is as if a stranger wrote it. Have pity.
I _told_ you that you were sitting too close to your computer
monitor! I sit 3 feet away from mine, and still I am plagued by
headaches. Must be what makes me so grouchy 8^)
