Serious inquiry for the fighter-types out there

Moving to a (hopefully) less-violent topic:

Those of you that were at EJ last weekend may or may not have taken
the path from the fighting field to the parking lot at some point, and
if you did, you crossed a bridge. Note that the bridge is fairly
narrow and has waist-high (or so) rails on both sides.

I was just thinking what a COOL battle we could have if we were to
build something similar (or even just a flat bridge) and put large
gymnastic padding on both sides of the bridge...I mean, we're talking
like the pads they have for pole vaulting.

What does anybody think? The obvious pros are that 1) you'd KNOW if
you were dead from falling off the bridge, 2) the fighters get to ham
up their death scenes, if they so desire, and 3) lots of opportunities
     for wierdness.

I think the obvious con can be dealt with, namely, what happens if
somebody falls on top of somebody else? Well, for one thing, we're
only talking about a couple of feet off the ground. Also we'd have to
explain to all the fighters that once they fall they have to start
rolling off the mat, or take their chances...we could possibly also
install people on both sides to help people off...

Because let's face it, who wants to be on the bottom if Kane or HRM
Galmr or Richard or (insert other large person's name here) lands on
them? (While I seriously doubt that anybody would be injured except
under extreme circumstances, _and_ that the comedy afforded from such
a sight would be a riot, there will still be people who don't want
     this happening.)

     Any thoughts?
