Look in your local library for books on Dressage.

Things about the history of Lipizan Stallions and/or the Spanish Riding School
(which is not in Spain, by the way...) will also give you information.

Look up Cavalry, and go for the earlier stuff.  Civil War cavalry fighting
is very different from Medieval Cavalry fighting.


There is a Greek author who wrote THE book on horseback riding.  It's still
in use today.  I'm blanking on his name.  ...  ....  .....  Argh.  write
later and I may remember.
