Which period, Byram?

I know people who know a *lot* about Viking ship construction, sailing, rowing.
Also someone who spent a summer in Europe on a trireme crew. Plus we have doco
on the Norse ship constructions.

(Wanna come sailing on the Fyerdracca next summer and do some personal research?
And the Gyrfalcon will probably be at Caer Mear's Cloverleaf Mall demo in
February or March and maybe at Emerald Joust if the autocrats want her. She's
pretty period construction if not period materials.)
