Archery at Highland River Melees

Greetings to all archers currently loitering in the Merry Rose from
Lorenzo il Confuso.

Following is the schedule for archery activities at Highland River
Melees June 20-22. The schedule is for Saturday, June 21.

9-10	Practice
10-11	William Tell Shoot 
	(he may be full of straw, but you kill the dummy and you're out)
11-12	Attacking Monsters (3-person team event)
12-1	Lunch
1-1:30	Rude Archer Shoot 
	(with public participation - how good are you under pressure?)
1:30-2	Blind Archer Shoot (yes, you will have to shoot blindfolded)
2-3	Castle Wall Shoot
3-4	Moat Shoot 

The grand prize, awarded to the best overall archer, is a leather
tapestry depicting an archery scene (from a period print) made by Lady
Marsali Fox. The tapestry will be entered in the A&S display prior to
being awarded at Court. Other prizes include a dozen crested arrows, a
leather armguard, a blackwork embroidered pouch, bottles of wine and
