I had a grand time at Crown! It was really something to see all the
most excellent fighting. The thing that impressed me the most about the
event in terms directly of Seareach, is how wonderful everyone was.
Every local gentle that I was privileged to meet or encounter was
friendly, polite, outgoing, willing to be of whatever help they could.
I thought it was a very well-run event.

The site had some good points and some bad, but then, what site does
not?

Its proximity to the shoreline and the beach-sandy soil made things dry
out quite rapidly after the storms on Friday and the wonderful
thunderstorm that hit Saturday night. And that's a good thing, when
folks are going to be doing a lot of fighting.... :-) I stayed in one
of the platform tents, and in spite of the fact that we had to get up to
tie the thing closed at the height of the Saturday night storm,
essentially nothing got wet. I was pretty impressed by that.... :-)
The bathhouses and facilities were plentiful and easy to get to, for the
most part, and I'm not always good at getting around.

I could have wished the feast hall were a little bigger; for that many
folks, it was a bit crowded and difficult to move around.

But by and large, I thought things went quite well. Y'all should be
proud of yourselves! Did I hear correctly when someone said this was
your Shire's first Kingdom-level event? VERY well done!! :-)

In service to the Kingdom and in thanks to Seareach,
