Fitness Class at University

Due to unavoidable work woes (I work for a retailer in computers, and for
us, it is already Christmas), I will be unable to teach the "Fitness for
Fighters" class at this University. I apologize to any who were planning
on attending - I hope to do this in the future, spring would probably work
better.

I have over 20 years experience in Japanese martial arts, weight lifting
and other types of sports and I have taught a very similar class for Karate
folks in the past. I taught karate for many years and ran my own school
for 4 years. I have been a fighter for 2 1/2 years. The purpose of the
class was to discuss fitness issues for heavy fighters and to go over steps
needed for you to construct your own 6 month fitness plan, including taking
the fitness test in the workbook.

I have prepared a really spiffy booklet with a workbook for designing your
fitness plan. I also had my document reviewed by two white belt types.
To paraphrase Sir Corby after he read the booklet, "I would love to have 30
fighters at Pennsic who had taken your advice!" (I paraphrase because I
can't remember his exact words). I would be glad to forward the booklet
electronically to anyone who would like a copy. I can do Word or WP or
ascii text. Just email me directly and let me know. You are free to use it
for any SCA related, educational, not for profit purpose as long as you
credit me with the writting.
