And probably well to duck for cover; I can see a barage of response on
this one flyin' out the gate...

But irregardless of Gryffri's opinion, I have heard it said that, as a
Kingdom, Atlantia calibrates itself at a higher level than most others.
That is to say, Atlantians swing harder and require a harder blow
before it will be called good. However, as this is internally
consistent, I don't think you could call it 'Rhino-hiding' -- simply
perhaps a measure of InterKingdom Anthropology.

On the other hand, I wouldn't be really surprised to see that Meridies,
Trimaris and other generally warmer-weather kingdoms would call the
more northern Kingdoms as harder fighters in that sense. Common sense
would seem to suggest that in colder climes, armor tends to be much
heavier and thicker and worn with layer(s) of undergarments, whereas in
warmer climes, the armor would be likely to be lighter and more open
and worn with fewer undergarments.

Hence a blow that would be considered Good in Trimaris, when judged
against the relatively lighter armor that is the probably norm down
there, would be considred Light (or at least lighter) by a fighter from
a more northward Kingdom. Conversely, a northern fighter's blow that
is Good might well be considered Heavy by a southern fighter.

So there's my theoretical-yet-plausible explanation of some of why
Gryffri might think Atlantians "Rhino-hide" more often. I wonder if he
sees the same problem when fighting against the East of other more
northern Kingdoms?

However, that doesn't address Gryffri's comments regarding the
"unchivalrous" or otherwise brain-impaired status he seems to imply of
Atlantian fighters. I would be dearly interested to hear his basis for
such an opinion.
