First Vard, then Baron Donal:

For those of you who are wondering: Dinas Moryn, and later Marinus, were
styled City-States partly because of the odd mundane political makeup of
the Hampton Roads area. Dinas Moryn encompassed nine Independent Cities
(Norfolk, Portsmouth, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Suffolk, Hampton,
Newport News, Poquoson and Williamsburg) as well as a few counties.

Achbar> This sounds odd. Is Myrkwood now called Bright Hills?

No; Bright Hills was carved off of it.

The *Barony* of Myrcwud was never part of Atlantia. When the Principality
of Atlantia was formed, MRqd opted not to join it. Later, after Atlantia
had become a kingdom, Mirkwolde did switch over, but as I understood the
situation it had been downgraded to Shire status by that time. The
remnants of Merckwoud united with the shire of Arindale to form the Barony
of Lochmere.
