I have never had the pleasure of meeting the man, but I do have an anecdote
to share...
Last year I got a call from the pastor of a Lutheran church in Harrisonburg,
Virginia. They were hoping the SCA would be able to provide some ambience
for their Reformation Day activities - feast, music, dancing, whatever.
When, out of curiosity I inquired how she had gotten my name, she said from
a very nice gentleman down in Atlanta - he went by the name of William de
Montegilt in the Society.

(By the way - the festivities went quite well, I am told, with help from
gentles from Isenfir, Black Diamond, and the nascent group in Harrisonburg.)
