  Demos that are not announced in the Acorn and do not meet the requirements
  of an official event may not covered by our insurance.

Given that it is the SCA Corporate policy, and that only requires sponsorship
by a local group and publication to the local group: I suspect that the Acorn
publication is not required.

This was discussed a lot in the past, when trying to limit the number and type
of covered events, without excluding practices came up.  For a while they
tried printing "recurring practices" in newsletters: but it proved too
awkward.
