Huhn? What, exactly, do you think a watch list is? One thing it is
NOT is a report card. All it is, is the list of people that the
group is trying to watch. It is not exclusive--we watch lots of
other people, too. It is not a ranking--some people get on put on
the watch list because Peer X says "I'd like you guys to watch person
Y". Some people fall off the watch list quickly after being put on;
others stay on forever. Some people get a Peerage without ever being
on the watch list -- TRM say "Poll for her", we do, and the results
come back positive. How up-to-date the watch list is depends upon
the attitude of the principal, how much time there was at the last
peerage meeting, and a million other factors. For one example, when
I was on the throne I noticed my own name on the watch list for
the Chivalry. I informed the Principal of the Chivalry "thank you
very much, but I've got one already..."
The watch list is not a tool for you to evaluate how you are doing.
If you want to get an estimate of how you are doing, ask a peer.
Ask me, I'll tell you in great detail what I think you need to work
on. Almost any other peer will do the same thing. You will find that much
more useful than some sort of relative ranking system.
