My personal favorite "awards" are those that are personal.
Among the better-known examples in Atlantia:  Many of the Ladies of the Rose
(Grafin Judith leaps to mind) give personal gifts to recognize acts of
courtesy. Mistress Deirdre's bells are prized tokens for artisans.  
Countess Genevieve gives kitchen crew a spoon tied with ribbons in her
colors.  
Lady Adrianna Broussard gives her cleanup folk monogrammed scrubbing brushes.
